PLAN MY TRIP
Cairo • Luxor • Nile Cruise • Aswan
An easy, well-paced first taste of Egypt in nine days, built around a short Nile cruise.
Meet our representative at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Rest after your flight, and your guide will brief you on the days ahead.
Spend the day with your private Egyptologist at the Giza plateau and the Sphinx, then visit the Step Pyramid at Saqqara and the ancient capital of Memphis.
Take a short flight to Luxor and visit the vast Karnak complex and Luxor Temple, which is beautiful in the late afternoon light.
Visit the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. A sunrise hot-air balloon ride can be added as an option.
Transfer to your Nile cruise ship, settle into your cabin and enjoy a first evening on the river.
Sail south through the Esna lock and visit the beautifully preserved Temple of Horus at Edfu.
Visit the twin temple of Kom Ombo on the riverbank, then continue to Aswan for sunset on the water.
Explore Philae Temple, the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk, then take a felucca sailboat around Elephantine Island.
Transfer to the airport for your flight home, or extend your stay with us.
